3 MIN READJuwai IQI expands in Thailand with IQI Global real estate office in Phuket

Real estate technology company Juwai IQI announced today that its IQI Global brand, which is Southeast Asia’s largest real estate network, has launched a new office in Phuket. The move signals Juwai IQI’s growing focus on the promising Thai market. IQI Global already operates in Bangkok and delivers thousands of foreign buyer enquiries to Thai property sellers each year.

Thailand is the number-one cross-border real estate market for Chinese buyers, by the number of enquiries, according to Juwai IQI data for the first half of 2020.

What will IQI Phuket represent?

Nasupha Suwansri, Vice President of IQI Phuket, said, “For the real estate industry in Phuket, Juwai IQI offers three huge advantages: its brand, technology and international scope. Juwai IQI’s brand is well known in Thailand and is even more established in countries like China that account for nearly half of all new development purchases here.

What will be the role of Juwai IQI?

Daniel Ho, Group Managing Director IQI said “Juwai IQI uses technology to facilitate real estate, and that’s more important than ever in 2020. Our team is plugging into their platform, ATLAS, which is a fully integrated platform for agent management, marketing, virtual tours, chatbots and more. Our agents will be more productive as a result of the technology we will be putting into their hands from day one.

“Juwai IQI also makes the Phuket office an international player. Yes, our feet are on the ground here in Phuket, where we serve buyers, sellers, and developers. But Juwai IQI also gives us a presence all across the Asia Pacific that lets us find buyers for Phuket property in other countries. Foreign buyers account for some 90% of condo sales in Phuket. We can give developers the full, end-to-end package, from online marketing to closing the sale almost without regard to where the buyer is actually located. This is especially important today, given the disruptions COVID-19 has caused.”

Juwai IQI Executive Chairman, Georg Chmiel said, “By expanding our Thai footprint from Bangkok to include Phuket, we cover two of the most important markets for property sales in the country.

“We are confident that our technology, processes and the global team can help our new Phuket office establish themselves and grow quickly — even in this difficult market. The pandemic has made technology more important than ever, and technology is where we are strongest.

“Developers in Phuket has had slower sales this year, which makes our end-to-end marketing and sales solution for reaching local and international buyers even more valuable.”

IQI Global Group CEO Kashif Ansari said, “We are incredibly excited to have such a strong team join the IQI network and put us on the map in Phuket.

“We believe Phuket has an extremely bright future as an expat haven and tourist destination. It is one of the most exciting locations in the world. We want to be part of its further growth and success in 2021 and beyond.”
