Sumptuous forms with a dancer’s grace
Patel Taylor is an award-winning architecture practice behind some of London’s most transformative schemes. Their approach integrates architecture, place-making and landscape design to foster a deeply instilled sense of place. At Coda, this comes into play with a building that echoes the dynamism of a dancer’s movements. The flowing design of the facade has a modern crafted feel, with full-height windows, painted bronze trims and metal framed balconies. Light streams through the staggered floors, with apartments on the north-east and north-west sides of the building overlooking the river.
A collection of secret gardens offer a breath of fresh air in a calm and beautifully landscaped environment. The private spaces also make for an excellent outdoor party venue, where guests can mingle under the shade of the many ornamental trees. Considered landscaping creates dappled shade, quiet corners and social seating, where residents can spend a secluded afternoon reading or working, or an enjoyable evening with friends. Ornamental trees border the gardens, bringing privacy and shade, while luxuriant planting keeps the garden lush all year round.

Healthy living is at the heart of the Coda experience, that’s why the building will offer a fitness studio for all residents to enjoy. Filled with some of the most sophisticated exercise equipment available, the space will even include state-of-the-art Peloton bikes, where invigorating workout classes can be projected to the wall. Another communal feature for residents to enjoy is the private club lounge, a laidback space full of comfortable pockets to gather and unwind. The flexible room dividers can be opened up, turning the space into an elegant yet relaxed space to host private parties. Enhanced with reading areas, the peaceful ground-floor space can also be enlivened with movies and music, with film screenings and soundproofed music-practice space. The club is also home to a residents’ devoted concierge service, where expertly trained staff can assist you with booking experiences, managing services and local recommendations.
