According to the Ministry of Health, the public needs to be aware of 5 colours of the COVID-19 quarantine bracelets – pink, white, blue, red or yellow.
Please be aware the bracelets must be worn by those who;
- Had close contact with COVID-19 patients
- Returned from abroad
- In administrative Movement Control Order areas
The Ministry of Health’s Director-General Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a statement that the place and date of testing will be written on the bracelet.
Individuals who are wearing these bracelets cannot leave their homes until the quarantine period is over, unless they are heads of households who wish to leave their property for essential business such as grocery shopping for their families.
The bracelets can only be cut by officers at the relevant district health office after the wearers have completed their quarantines.
Please be vigilant our fellow Malaysians – if anyone of you witnesses anyone wearing the bracelets out in public, please lodge a police report to protect the community from the spread of COVID-19.
- Police / Ambulance – 999 / 112
These individuals who disobey this order can endanger the community at large so we appreciate all compliance of these people in staying at home.
As of 20th September, Malaysia has reported 52 new Covid-19 cases, comprising 40 domestic transmissions and 12 imported cases – bringing total cases to 10,271.
With only three months remaining of the year 2020, we are unsure with the future of 2021.
But we need to keep our heads above the water for the sake of ourselves, our loved ones and our community. Keep calm and carry on the Malaysian spirit as high as you can! #StayHopefulWithIQI
