Who Benefits From The LoveRun?
Rumah Aman (“Peaceful Home” in Malay) is a non-profit and non-political children’s home providing a caring and loving home for children who are orphaned or from very poor or destitute families in Malaysia.
Rumah Aman doesn’t just provide a roof over the children’s heads, it provides a home, and education at par with the national standards. Through this, Rumah Aman hopes to break the cycle of reliance and give the best opportunities available to their children so they become caring global citizens.
Dignity for Children
Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity) aims to empower underprivileged urban poor children to alleviate their poverty through quality education and care, positively transforming their lives and the lives of the community around them. Dignity achieves this by establishing high quality learning centres under one roof for the poor; implementing specialised learning environments to develop children academically and socially, thus empowering them to become productive members of society.
Refugee Welfare Fund (UNHCR)
UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, works to assist and protect refugees everywhere.
In Malaysia, UNHCR has established the Refugee Welfare Fund, which they manage jointly with their key NGO partner in health, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation. The Refugee Welfare Fund meets the emergency medical and welfare needs of refugees in Malaysia, particularly in the area of life-saving medical assistance.
The Selangor and Federal Territory Association for the Mentally Handicapped (SAMH) is a charitable non-governmental organization (NGO) that serves the needs of 300 mentally challenged children and adults at three special schools and centers situated in the Klang Valley.
